Welcome to DRUM TRACKS
Do you have a song that’s begging for some percussion or drums? Would you like to learn how to make your OWN rhythmic accompaniment track? At the end of this workshop series, you will have recorded your own percussion accompaniment track; you’ll have a greater understanding of what “works” in drum parts, and why; and you’ll gain confidence in communicating what you’d like when you next work with a drummer on one of your songs.
The good news: you have everything you need in your home RIGHT NOW to make the perfect rhythmic accompaniment track for your song. Is that a water bottle on your table? No. It’s a snare drum. Is that your fist thumping the table? No. It’s a sick bass drum sound. That half-empty box of pasta? It’s your new favorite shaker. Create organic and human drum tracks that are unique and that bring out elements in your song that you’d like to emphasize.
Over the span of four sessions, you’ll learn what makes a good drum part work, how to identify elements in your song that you can use to create the perfect rhythmic accompaniment track, and how to record percussion tracks yourself with items you have in your home right now.
